About
As a first generation Indian-American growing up in Florida, cooking was central to my upbringing. There was always a lesson to be had roaming about the kitchen where we congregated, and my parents would cook up a storm! I benefitted greatly from two great cooks for parents, eating diverse meals ranging anything from traditional Indian dishes, to classic Italian American red sauce fare - our neighbors and closest family friends happened to be Italian. This coupled with many hours logged watching every food television program imaginable with my brother, created the foundation to be entirely enamored with cooking at a very young age.
After attending university as a young adult, it became apparent my path as a chef was to be forged. After a stint cooking in my hometown of Boca Raton, FL, I started my New York career at ABC Kitchen in 2013. This continued for a decade where I completed tenures at Momofuku Ssam bar (original location), Gabriel Kreuther (2 Michelin stars), Canlis (Seattle), and lastly Momofuku Ko (2 Michelin stars), where I honed my managerial skills, and learned how to craft a menu from start to finish.
When I put these highly enriching experiences together, and placed them at the service of a residence, it was apparent that I had discovered the next stage of my career. I currently oscillate between several recurring clients providing a variety of chef services. I am always excited to meet and cook for new people on my journey.
